The 50/30/20 budget rule in one minute

A simple way to split your monthly pay into needs, wants and your future.

Payday comes, and somehow the money is gone by the twentieth. Try the fifty, thirty, twenty rule.

Split what you take home into three parts before you spend anything.

Fifty percent goes to needs: rent, groceries, bills and the bus to work.

Thirty percent goes to wants: eating out, movies, and that new pair of shoes.

Twenty percent goes to your future: savings, and paying off anything you owe.

It is not a strict law, just a starting point. Adjust the split to your life, but give every rupee a job before the month begins.
